The death of a...
...hard drive. Oye, what a pain. Ours had its last few days of life this week and then on Friday decided that its time with us was over. Luckily my brother Patrick is a computer genius (I'm so not exaggerating) and we called him this morning pleading for help. Over the phone he diagnosed the problem and we bought the new hard drive this morning. Matthew's all sorts of computer savvy now, so he installed the new one and we set about installing everything we lost. I'm really counting on Patrick to get all our pictures off the old drive, but it was REALLY messed up, so we might lose everything. But its nice that he's trying. Its so wonderful to have crazily intelligent family members. They make my life easier and my bank account happier :)

I think...
I think I have decided to NOT get the shots. I have been doing some research, and what the docs didn't tell me was I would have to continue getting maintenance shots for years. No thanks! I'll pop the pills! I felt like such an old lady buying my weekly pill sorter, but I have it now. As long as its a once a day thing, I think I'll be ok.
I LOVE BEING ABLE TO BREATHE! (yes, it is a new thing for me!)

I'm allergic to Life
So I went to the doctor on Monday for yet another sinus infection. "But Becca," you say, "didn't you have that crazily expensive surgery about a year ago that was supposed to fix that?"
Sure did.
Didn't work.
At least now my bones are straight. Ugh.
On Wednesday, I went to an allergist. His diagnosis: I'm allergic to everything. EVERYTHING. That's why I've had 4 or 5 sinus infections a year since birth.
I'm amazed I made it this far in life without a nice sharp pen in my bag. They did a scratch test of like 60 things on my back and only 8 came up negative.
My options: take 3 medications every day for the rest of my life, or go to the clinic every week for 2-8 months and get 10-18 shots in my arms each time. Peachy fun, huh?
Its called immunotherapy. I'm really familiar with the immune system, so I get how it works, but the problem is it doesn't work for everyone.
I really don't know what I should do. What would you folk do?
