So I went to the doctor on Monday for yet another sinus infection. "But Becca," you say, "didn't you have that crazily expensive surgery about a year ago that was supposed to fix that?"
Sure did.
Didn't work.
At least now my bones are straight. Ugh.
On Wednesday, I went to an allergist. His diagnosis: I'm allergic to everything. EVERYTHING. That's why I've had 4 or 5 sinus infections a year since birth.
I'm amazed I made it this far in life without a nice sharp pen in my bag. They did a scratch test of like 60 things on my back and only 8 came up negative.
My options: take 3 medications every day for the rest of my life, or go to the clinic every week for 2-8 months and get 10-18 shots in my arms each time. Peachy fun, huh?
Its called immunotherapy. I'm really familiar with the immune system, so I get how it works, but the problem is it doesn't work for everyone.
I really don't know what I should do. What would you folk do?

I am sorry that you have to go through that! If it was me I would totally do the shots, but that's cause I am no good at remembering to take pills everyday! Good Luck!
zoikes! can you eliminate some of those things you are allergic to or are they stuff like air, water, and dirt!?!? good luck.
Allergies, yuck. I hope you find a good solution so you can cope with all that sneezy, sinus infecting stuff!
I say take the pills!! No one wants to be a pin cushion!!! Say no to needles!!!
I love you and I love Pooka!!
I don't know how you feel about alternative medicine, but I had several of my allergies alleviated all together through chiropractics...
I would rather take the pills. If you have trouble remembering to take them, put an alarm in your phone to go off so you can take em. Its what I have to do. No fun dude. No fun at all.
Plus, Ive given myself 3 shots a day for months and it sucked hiney. I cant imagine having my arms stuck that many times at one time. Seriously. OUCH.
Good luck!
