Everyone loves parties. If you're three and you have a party that literally lasts ALL DAY, with balloons and princesses everywhere, you are bound to think you are the luckiest kid alive.
This was Pooka last Friday. From the moment she woke up until she went to sleep that night, she was the guest of honor at her very own princess potty party. Matthew got a ton of books and a couple of videos from the library, we stuffed her full of any and every type of drink she could ever want, and spent the day immersed in bodily functions. Oh the joy!
She, of course, thought it was the greatest thing ever. How often do mommy and daddy let you watch the same two shows (yes, the SAME two shows) all day long? Or drink as much bubble drink as you want? She was seriously in heaven.
Matthew and I, on the other hand, were ready to shoot ourselves by 5:00. I have had the same three lines of a potty song running through my head since Friday. It was so bad that I woke Matthew up last night so he could help me find his ipod, just so I could fall asleep listening to something else. Oye.
But we do what we must. And man, has it been worth it. Pooka has become a master of the potty practically overnight, and whats even better, she is SO proud of herself. That is worth anything.

So glad you found me!! Potty training can be a nightmare... We had great success with Caleb and I am hoping that when the time comes Kenna will be the same way. When they're ready, they're ready!! Great to be able to connect again!! I'll be looking in on you and your cute fam from time to time!!
