New Things

A new baby. A new house.

As a child, I was obsessed with new things. I was the youngest of five girls, so you can only guess how often I got the hand-me downs. Now, I would think its the most amazing thing in the world for someone to give me all their old things for free. People, I'll take anything but underwear and mattresses.

Right now, though, new things are overwhelming my life.

I'm around two months pregnant with our second. I thought for sure I would be ok to get my meds, but the insurance company is playing games - as usual. Dr Harter is being awesome (actually, its his assistant Deede) and is trying to get me the medicine asap because they know what happeded with Ivy. Its amazing how quickly you forget how bad things can be. I'm no where near there right now, but I can see it a little more clearly than I could before, and I don't look forward to it, if it comes to that.

We are officially putting an offer on a house tonight. Even though I have been married for 4 years and have 1 1/2 kids, once we buy a house I feel like I'll officially be an old fogey. I know thats stupid, but its how I feel. I despirately want the stability, but I'm terrified of the finality of it. I know its a contradiction, but what can I do? What if I hate it there? It really is the perfect little starter home, it doesn't need ANY work, except for cosmetic, ie paint and grass in the back yard. The master shower is a little freaky - black tile? But overall, it would be a great house. I just hope we can get the lady to pay closing costs, because in all likelihood, that house will be ours.

Good changes, but a little much to deal with all at once.
