Yesterday, Pooka and I had the entire day together - a rare event - and we just hung out at home and had fun. As lunch time approached, Pooka was getting mighty hungry and didn't quite have the patience to wait for her mac n' cheese to cook. As I was gettting her some fruit, she came into the kitchen and said in her saddest voice, "Yah, Baby sooooo hungry." If you haven't heard the way she says this, it is just about the funniest thing in the world. I acknowledged her and continued getting lunch ready. So often, though, I tell Pooka that I can't understand what she said and ask her to repeat herself. So when Mommy didn't hurry up and give Pooka something to eat, she just had to make sure and asked me "Mama, understand Pooka? Pooka soooo hungry." I just about died. I love this little girl!
