Matthew and I were out with Ivy doing some shopping last night and she was growly! It was a little later than it should have been, and it was showing. On the way home, Matthew started to sing her a song to calm her down. The conversation went like this:
M:"You are my sunshine, my only --"
P:" No! I no like that!"
M:"Ok. I am a child of G--"
P: "NO! I no like that!"
M(to me): "Is my singing really that bad?"
Me: "I think she's just tired."
P: "NO! I NO LIKE THAT!"
Me: Laughing my butt off!
Apparently even our voices were grating on her! Its so sad she never feels as if she can voice her opinions...

Sounds like our car rides all the time - neither of the girls like either parent to sing along... we keep telling them we can do whatever we want - but it's not worth the ensuing screams to actually finish a song! :) Silly kids.
