The other Papa
I don't know how many of you know, but Pooka has a third Papa, someone she decided has earned the right to that title. His name is Bro. Heaton, and he is the 2nd councilor in our ward. His wife is the nursery leader, so right around the time that Pooka went in to nursery, he started to go in to help as well, and a new friendship was born - or an old rekindled ( I think the latter more likely). That is how much she loves this man. Today as we were driving to church she kept on asking "Papa Heaton's house?" and we told her "No, we are going to Heavenly Father's house, but Papa Heaton will be there." Then a minute later, "Papa Heaton's house?" and so on. When we got to church we sat down and it was Bro Heaton's turn to conduct the testimony meeting. I looked down in shock at my little rambunctious daughter sitting still as can be, hands in her lap listening to her beloved Papa Heaton share his testimony, just beaming the entire time. Then Matthew took her up to the stand with him to share his testimony - BIG mistake. There she was, just feet from her dear Papa Heaton, and she couldn't contain herself. She started to yell for her Papa and squirm in her Daddy's lap until finally Bro Heaton reached over and grabbed her up, all this while someone was bearing their testimony. After Matthew shared his testimony, much to Pooka's dismay, he picked her up and walked away. You would not believe the heartwrenching sobs that could come from a little girl. She didn't scream angrily, she was just so sad that we wouldn't let her sit with her Papa. The entire ward gave a collective sigh and I just about died. But, as it happens every Sunday, we took her up to the stand right after sacrament meeting, and she held out her had to her Papa, and they both walked to Primary together. Such a sweet little girl.

No one is better than grandpapa! No one!! Except maybe Auntie Megen. Green Conda, Green Conda.
I 100% agree that Papa will always be the best!
I bet the ward got a kick out of the whole thing! I like to see fun stuff in Sac. Mtg!
She has such a sweet heart.
